In: Globalife Working Paper Series, No. 05, Faculty of Sociology, University of Bielefeld. The main goal of the Globalife project is to study the influence of global processes on individuals' life courses in OECD-type societies, which was also the main type of society involved in the Fertility and Family Survey (FFS) project. Using these data, the impact of the Globalization process on the life course will be analyzed for the different transitions that individuals experience. The purpose of this paper is to give a descriptive summary of different cleaning and correcting steps undertaken in order to use the FFS for the analysis of life courses in the globalization process. |
